Salem Housing Authority — Salem, OR

♥ Our Partnership with the Salem Housing Authority began in 2011!

Salem Housing Authority(SHA) serves approximately 9,000 Salem area residents within Salem/Keizer’s Urban Growth Boundary with safe and affordable rental housing assistance on any given day.

Salem Housing Authority’s mission is to assist low- and moderate-income families to achieve self-sufficiency through stable housing, economic opportunity, community investment, and coordination with social service providers.

SHA provides 2.4 million dollars in monthly housing assistance payments to over 2900 households monthly.

SHA owns, manages, and/ or maintains nearly 700 units of Affordable housing – including permanent supportive housing, senior housing, and multi-family.

One of SHA’s complexes has 124 units – over 300 children reside at this complex.

SHA’s Special Programs Team provides outreach services that help to connect our unsheltered neighbors to housing solutions. This team has housed over 400 individuals through this program since 2017.
