Brian Farrow, teacher at Cold Springs Middle School, leads the way to implement and sustain the Purple Hands Pledge® in his school and other schools in the Washoe School District of Reno, Nevada.
Brian Farrow is now the Dean at Pine Middle School in Reno, Nevada. 

October 1, 2008, Cold Springs Middle School hosted the Hands and Words Are Not For Hurting® assembly at their school.

On a beautiful sunny morning, 10 school buses arrived at Cold Springs Middle School carrying all of the students from feeder elementary schools Silverlake Elementary, Gomes Elementary, and Booth Elementary.

Over 2,000 students in K-8th grade stood together with their hands over their hearts and recited the Purple Hands Pledge® to stop abuse, violence, and suicide.

School district officials, Public Officials, School Resource Officers, and multiple community partners attended and supported the launch of the Hands And Words Are Not For Hurting Project® in their schools.
