Pledge For Peace – October 17, 2023
♥ Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics Sponsored and Organized a Pledge For Peace Community-Wide Event!
♥ Following the dramatic rise of verbal and physical assaults within the healthcare environment, Salem Health Hospital’s & Clinics jumped into action and created a Harmful Words and Actions Committee who are committed to addressing and reducing these abusive behaviors through education.
♥ Featured Guest Speakers: Cheryl Nester Wolfe, CEO Salem Health Hospital’s & Clinics, Paige Clarkson, Marion County District Attorney, and Ann S. Kelly, Founder/Director Hands & Words Are Not For Hurting Project®.
♥ Marion County and Salem Community Leaders were invited to join Salem Health leaders, providers, and employees at Salem Hospital for the special event.
♥ The group of over 50 people gathered to take the Purple Hands Pledge® to end Abuse, Violence, Self-Harm & Suicide: “I Will Not Use My Hands Or My Words For Hurting Myself Or Others®.”
We are forever grateful for the overwhelming amount of support we received from all in attendance!
