Andrea Oropeza, Counselor, Gervais High School, began our partnership during our 24th Annual Hands & Words Are Not For Hurting Week, October 17-23 2021.

Andrea presented the importance and simplicity of our program to the staff. They were instructed how to effectively implement and sustain the Purple Hands Pledge® schoolwide.

Leadership Students organized a “Purple Out” day where students and staff dressed in purple.

Throughout Purple Hands Week all students and staff were encouraged to take the Purple Hands Pledge® to heart.

Our Official Pledge Banners were displayed for the public on the fence alongside the football field between the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. (Pictured Below)

Our combination English/Spanish and English/Russian Pledge banners are displayed to represent the diverse communities in Gervais, Oregon.
