National Child Abuse Prevention Month Proclamation
Klamath County Commissioner Kelley Minty Morris wholeheartedly endorses the
Purple Hands Pledge® and its simple and consistent message.

- Klamath County Commissioner Derrick DeGroot invites Klamath County and City schools to encourage students in reciting the Purple Hands Pledge® daily, or at least weekly following the flag salute. The pledge is proven to reduce bullying, mean spirited teasing, and suicide.

- Klamath Chapter Hands & Words Are Not For Hurting® met this morning with County Commissioners Kelley Minty Morris and Donnie Boyd. Commissioner Morris commented on how much she loves working with the students at Klamath County Transition Program, while admiring the 2020 “Hands & Pets Valentines” created by KCTP students.

- Klamath County Commissioners Morris, DeGroot, and Boyd proudly display their 2018 Hands & Pets Valentines created with love and compassion by kindergartens from TRIAD Christian School to help our local shelter animals find their “forever homes.” Hands & Pets Valentine project is an annual event by Hands & Words Are Not For Hurting®.
