The Grand Island Public Schools Foundation is pleased to offer the Legendary Educator Awards.  This award was established to recognize the many outstanding educators who have made it their life’s work to ensure success for thousands of Grand Island students.  We are grateful for the inspiring work of our educators past and present. To qualify for the Legendary Educator Award, a person must be a former employee of the Grand Island Public Schools. In 2013, Mary Ann Richards was awarded the Legendary Educator Award for her tremendous work with the Grand Island students. 

The Kim West Dinsdale Award for Excellence in Teaching was established through an endowment gift to Grand Island Community Foundation to honor Kim West Dinsdale- a community leader, volunteer, and philanthropist. In 2007 the GICF honored Mary Ann Richards with the Kim West Dinsdale Award for Excellence in Teaching.
